Pleasanton Native, Candence Royal, Earns Law Degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston

Candence Royal graduated from South Texas College of Law on December 17, 2011 earning a Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree. Royal is a 2000 graduate of Pleasanton High School and a 2005 graduate of Texas Tech University. Her parents are Frank H. and Sonja Royal. Royal will take the Texas Bar exam in February. Commencement for the 77 graduates was held at the Hilton Americas in downtown Houston and featured Vice Admiral James W. Houck, the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General as speaker. South Texas College of Law is Houston's oldest, and only private law school, founded in 1923.
